Nulato Tribal Council (NTC) wants to have a website that tribal members, and others,
can access to listen and to practice our traditional songs. The songs here are those which
are performed at such gatherings like AFN, FNA and Denakkanaaga. In the future other songs may be added.

Lyrics and history were sourced, with permission, from YKSD’s Dzaataah K’eleek,
K’edzes K’eleek Songbook, 2010, and then modified to fit the traditions as recalled by local elders.

Funding for the site was made possible by the Johnson-O'Malley Act of 1934
and the implementing regulations are provided in Part 273 of Title 25 of the
Code of Federal Regulations. Such contracts shall be for the purpose of financially
assisting those efforts designed to meet the specialized and unique educational needs
of eligible Indian students, including programs supplemental to the regular school program and
school operational support, where such support is necessary to maintain established State educational standards.
